Connecting Changes Everything is AT&T’s new creative platform and purpose. To help bring AT&T’s purpose statement to life, Translation helped create the first-ever 5G connected football helmet that will level the playing field for Deaf football players. A 5G connection will allow coaches to visually communicate with their players at the same speed as their hearing counterparts. Over the last two years, AT&T has partnered with coaches and players from Gallaudet University to develop this groundbreaking helmet. AT&T’s helmet product launch is an opportunity to bring AT&T’s Connecting Changes Everything message to life in an inspirational way for a broad, mainstream audience. This campaign will frame the Deaf and Hard of Hearing connection fostered by the Helmet as a piece of history. To coincide with the product innovation, Translation created the Sound of Silence film which features Amira Unplugged — a partially Deaf UnitedMasters artist singing a cover of “Sound of Silence”, serving as a backdrop to the film’s human-led story that showcases how this helmet changed everything for one player and alludes to how it can change everything for an entire community.
