Pittsburgh’s community is home to asylum seeking authors exiled from their countries for their controversial writing. These authors give a voice to the wider minority groups they represent, and we felt they should have a voice too.
To dramatize the harsh reality of censorship in some countries, we showed the great lengths people go to read what needs to be read. We also wrote scathing eye-opening fictionalized reviews that answered the question, “What would dictators have to say about the books they’ve banned.”
Our video, print, and PR work created attention for this important issue.
